1. PropLock is not a broker or financial advisor
PropLock AI provides software for journaling trades, evaluating user-defined rules, and reviewing past performance. We do not:
- Place, route, modify, or cancel orders.
- Hold or transmit customer funds.
- Operate as a registered broker-dealer, futures commission merchant (FCM), introducing broker (IB), commodity trading advisor (CTA), or registered investment adviser (RIA).
- Provide personalized investment advice, recommendations, or solicitations.
- Guarantee passing a prop-firm evaluation, keeping a funded account, profitability, or any specific outcome.
2. Smart Gate decisions are informational only
The Smart Gate, discipline score, performance analytics, AI trade analysis, and any other feature that produces a result — ALLOWED, WARNING, BLOCKED, suggestions, grades — is informational only, based on rules you configure. An ALLOWED decision is not a recommendation to take a trade; a BLOCKED decision is not a recommendation to avoid one. The Gate cannot see the market and does not predict outcomes. You decide whether to place any trade.
3. Risk of loss in futures and leveraged products
Trading futures, options, and other leveraged financial instruments involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for every investor. Key risks include:
- Leverage: small price moves can produce large losses, including losses exceeding your initial margin.
- Slippage & gaps: markets can move past your stop in seconds, especially around news.
- Technology failure: connectivity issues, exchange outages, or platform bugs may prevent you from managing positions.
- Prop-firm rules: exceeding daily loss limits, trailing drawdowns, or consistency rules may forfeit your funded account regardless of net profitability.
- Tax consequences: trading gains are taxable income. Consult a tax professional.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations and may not reflect actual trading outcomes.
4. You are solely responsible
Every trade is your decision. PropLock does not warrant that:
- The Smart Gate captured every relevant risk.
- Synced fill data is accurate or complete in real time.
- Analytics, alerts, or AI commentary will be timely, correct, or relevant.
- Use of PropLock will improve your trading results.
You agree that any decision you make in reliance on the Service is your own, and that PropLock has no liability for those decisions or their outcomes. See the Terms of Service §10 for the limitation of liability.
5. Hypothetical & simulated results
Backtests, replays, and any "what-if" analyses are hypothetical: they are not records of actual trading and may not reflect the impact of liquidity, slippage, commissions, or your psychological state. There are limitations to all simulated results, and they should not be treated as predictive.
6. Third-party broker integrations
PropLock connects read-only to broker and prop-firm APIs you choose to link. We do not control those APIs or their data. Inaccuracies, delays, or outages at the broker may cause the Service to display stale or incomplete information. Always verify positions and account status directly with your broker before making decisions.
7. Not an offer or solicitation
Nothing on the Service constitutes an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, derivative, currency, or other financial instrument. Information is provided as-is, without warranty.
8. Jurisdictional notice
The Service is intended for users in jurisdictions where its use is lawful. If trading futures, options, or other instruments referenced by the Service is restricted or unlawful where you reside, do not use those features. You are responsible for compliance with all local laws and regulations, including reporting and tax obligations.
9. Get professional advice
If you are unsure whether trading is suitable for you, consult a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney before placing trades or making financial decisions. PropLock cannot substitute for individualized professional advice.
10. Acceptance of risk
By using PropLock you acknowledge that you understand the risks of trading, that you are solely responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes, and that PropLock is providing software tools — not financial advice, not a guarantee of profitability, and not a substitute for the professionals listed above.
